Mountain Mama Guiding
Green Mountain Mamas
A Hiking Club for Visionary Moms in Vermont
We aspire to live in close relationship with the Earth, cultivate a consent-based culture and value both the paid and unpaid work of raising a family.
We return to the mountains to revisit the vision we're here to bring to life. Our day hikes are invitations to spend time with our bodies, minds and other mamas on the trail.
Returning to ourselves in nature allows us to return to our families with a fresh perspective and the gift of our energized presence.
The structures of our hikes are intentional. They invite us into deep conversation and contemplation during our climb.
At the summit we make a proclaimation and on our decent we identify action steps we can realistically integrate into our lives.
Each hike we track ourselves as we move in the direction of the vision we're here to co-create, one step at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my child/ren with me?
These hikes are an invitation to spend time with your body, mind and other mamas on the trail. Returning to yourself in nature allows you to return to your family with a fresh perspective and the gift of your energized presence. If you’d like to collaborate on setting up childcare for your child/ren with other mamas in our group, let us know on the intake form.
Are these hikes only for cis-gender biological moms?
These hikes are intended for bodies that have gone through the transformation of the birthing process, the intensive journey of adoption or identify as the primary care providing parent who can relate to the struggles of modern day motherhood. The unique passage into motherhood fundamentally alters one’s identity. This is the common ground that we are gathering on. Our challenges are often not just personal problems, but rather societal ones we need to navigate together. If you identify as a caregiver, parent or by another name best representative of you, please let us know.
